Introducing Isaac

Hello everyone!

I introduced myself on the SPOKE612 social media platforms, but I thought it was time for an official welcoming post to the blog. My name is Isaac Steffensen, and I’m the newest member of the SPOKE612 Productions crew as the Production and Social Media Intern.

I’m Minnesota-born and raised– growing up on the lake, attending the state fair, and helping my dad shovel the driveway every winter. Minnesota is and continues to be home as I approach my final year of college at the University of Minnesota. I’m majoring in Strategic Communications through the Hubbard School of Journalism, with minors in Interdisciplinary Design and Leadership Studies. My time at the University of Minnesota has been far from ordinary due to the pandemic: from learning online to isolating myself from the community, it definitely hasn’t been easy, but it’s taught me to cherish the moments I get to spend face-to-face with those new and old. I’m grateful for this new opportunity at SPOKE612 Productions to be working in person assisting in production and art direction, while also heading the social media platforms.

I chose SPOKE612 Productions due to their passion for storytelling, and ability to let me be creative and take risks. The team is always here to cheer me on, and help me learn from my mistakes. SPOKE612 Productions is where the magic is happening, and I’m thrilled to be along for the ride. When I’m not in class or working you can usually find me exploring a new coffee shop around the Twin Cities area, vintage shopping for new clothing, or spending time with family and friends at breweries, restaurants, or out on the boat.
