Well - I did it. My exploratory expedition with Studio E has come to a close. I wanted to spend some time reflecting on my experience with the program and provide some insight to other leaders as to WHAT Studio E is and WHY I decided to join...
The program is led by a group of professionally guided sessions where members will learn and apply complementary and necessary leadership practices, create a new supportive community of unique and diversely experienced leaders, and build confidence and motivation to produce better outcomes where there are no instructions. Studio E believes exploration is essential for leaders to thrive in today’s rapidly changing world with clarity and confidence.
"Truth time. I never saw myself as a leader. A director, a business owner, a woman in production - yes. I inherently have a leadership role because I own a company and am technically the one in charge on our sets. But being called a "leader" was always a weird concept for me. So when I was invited to take part in the program - I was skeptical. 1. I always thought programs like these were a little hokey (mainly because they are out of my comfort zone). 2. I was afraid it would out me as a bad "leader" (and the idea of failing at anything is definitely out of my comfort zone).
But - that's exactly why I should've been a part of this. I'm so glad I joined. And here's why..."
WHAT IS STUDIO E?
Expedition is Studio/E’s flagship program, designed to equip you with the proven principles of Exploratory Leadership and connect you within a diversely experienced cohort to help you confidently explore the unknown, launch new ideas and navigate ambiguity to produce better outcomes.

They exist to equip individuals and organizations with the exploratory practices and supporting community necessary to navigate today’s ever-changing landscape with clarity and confidence. True growth and learning comes from interacting with people who have different experiences than you. With intention, the programs are designed as a trusted community of successful leaders from all walks of life, which creates a powerful asset for our members.
A word that you will hear over and over again during the course of this program is PURPOSE. How to stay true to your purpose and realize you can only thrive over the long-term when you are aligned with your purpose.
Purpose is your "why", the reason for which you exist. What is my purpose? What is my "why"?
A person's purpose doesn't need to be career-related. You can apply these ideals to your personal life goals just as much as your professional ones. I took this program on to become a better leader in my work life. To learn that when things are out of my control - that's OK - and how to navigate that. What I didn't realize is that I needed it just as badly for my personal life, because if you're not aligned with your personal goals how is that supposed to translate into other areas of your life?

Thankfully, the members of the 37th expedition were in the very capable hands of our guides while venturing into the "Unknown". Co-Founder Tom Wiese and President Stiles Anderson led every expedition. They had an impressive support staff and guest speakers who created a well-rounded team.
